Debiutancka EPka pochodzącego z USA, BLOOD SPORE absolutnie mnie sponiewierała! Oto mamy kolejny młody zespół na scenie Death Metalowej, który pomimo poruszania się dobrze znanymi ścieżkami, nie pozostawia słuchaczowi złudzeń. Zapraszam na podróż ku śmierci i ohydzie.
BLOOD SPORE zaskoczył mnie ilością przemyconego do kompozycji brudu. Nie można pominąć tego faktu, że owy brud stanowi tu kwintesencję, jest niczym szkielet tej kreatury. Trzy utwory jakie znalazły się na tym materiale to świetne połączenie Death Metalu i powolnych, mozolnych obrotów Doom Metalu. Podczas gdy zespół naprawdę świetnie wypada przy aranżacjach Death Metalowych, tak odnoszę wrażenie, że to właśnie Doom Metalowe partie są drogowskazem dla "Fungus Warfare Upon All Life". Cechy kojarzone jako ten najbardziej pożądane i jednocześnie ohydne w Death Metalu, najbardziej się uwidaczniają w tych smolistych pasażach. Z nich wyłania się właśnie całe te plugastwo, bezeceństwo i jakaś nieokreślona mi bliżej mityczna groteska. Nie wiem co w tych dźwiękach siedzi, ale odnoszę wrażenie słuchają EPki, że zostałem wciągnięty w jakąś obcą mi czasoprzestrzeń pełną okropieństw i pełzającego horroru. Aranżacje utworów są, można by powiedzieć, dość przyswajalne a osoby słuchające hybryd Death / Doom Metalowych z łatwością łykną te dźwięki. Kompozycje są oparte na wolnych i średnich szybkościach, pełnych chorej rytmiki, ale nie brakuje też szybszych partii. Te z kolei ożywiają nieco rozkładającego się trupa i w makabryczny sposób przywracają truchłu życie. To jednak tylko fragmenty. Absolutnym plusem są wokale, które nieco przypominają skrzeczącą manierę Killjoy'a - jakiż to daje niesamowity klimat!!! Materiał zdecydowanie godzien polecenia dla maniaków poszukujących brzydoty w Death Metalu połączonej z przytłaczającą grozą.

The debut EP from Pennsylvania, USA, band called BLOOD SPORE, absolutely disgusted me! Here, we have another young band on the Death Metal stage, which despite moving along well known paths, leaves no illusions to the listener. I invite you to a journey to death and abomination.
BLOOD SPORE surprised me with the amount of filth smuggled into the compositions. You cannot ignore the fact that this foulness is the essence here, it is a skeleton of this creature. The three tracks on this material are a great combination of Death Metal and slow, arduous Doom Metal motives. While the band is really great with Death Metal arrangements, I have the impression that Doom Metal parts are the signpost for "Fungus Warfare Upon All Life". Features associated as the most desired and at the same time hideous in Death Metal, are most evident in these tarry passages. From these very passages emerges all this filthy, iniquity and some undefined mythical grotesque. I don't know what's in those sounds, but I get the impression of listening to the EP that I've been dragged into some strange space-time continuum full of atrocities and crawling horror. The arrangements of the tracks are, one could say, quite assimilable and people listening to Death / Doom Metal hybrids will easily sip it. The compositions are based on slow and medium speeds, full of sickly rhythms, but there is no shortage of faster parts. These, in turn, bring the decaying corpse back to life in a macabre way. However, these are only fragments. An absolute advantage are the vocals, which slightly resemble Killjoy's creepy way - what an amazing atmosphere it gives!! The material is definitely worth recommending for maniacs looking for ugliness in Death Metal combined with overwhelming horror.
