Pochodzący z Nowej Zelandii projekt zrzesza muzyków z tak uznanych hord jak Temple Nightside, Vassafor czy Witchrist. Mając to w pamięci, nikt zdrowy choćby trochę przy zmysłach nie posądzi, że możemy tu mieć do czynienia ze skocznym graniem. SINISTROUS DIABOLUS serwuje totalny Death / Doom Metal, a ciężar tych nagrań oraz atmosfera totalnej śmierci świadczą same za siebie. Potwór ten zrodził się do życia w 1991 roku i praktycznie do 2010 był uśpiony w swoim szaleństwie. Do tego roku ukazały się raptem dwie taśmy demo, a bestia została wyrwana ze snu na dobre właśnie po 2010 roku. Jednakże, od roku 2016 ponownie zeszła do zatęchłych jaskiń i czeka na odpowiedni moment by wychylić swój przerażający łeb i siać śmierć wśród maniaków takich dźwięków.

Słuchając kolejnych, następujących po sobie części czuję się jakbym doznawał to coraz gęstszego zejścia, zapaści, a powolne monstrum toczy się dalej nie mając zamiaru przestać. Co jest warte wspomnienia to aranże gitar. Takiego ciężaru, a zarazem grobowego smutku, niemalże melancholii nie słyszałem od dawna. Gitara prowadząca, gdy już się pojawia, wprowadza żałobną atmosferę i to cholernie działa. Kolejnym fantastycznym aspektem są partie w których SINISTROUS DIABOLUS porusza się bez efektów i czysto brzmiące gitary walcują totalnie wgniatające aurą patenty w których groby są otwarte, a zmarli są odpowiednikiem artefaktów i symboli naszej przeszłości. Nie nazwałbym tego epitetem epickości, ale bardziej powagi i dostojności. Opętane wokalizy królują nad pogrążoną w smutku aurą i dodają tu sporej ilości wściekłości wymieszanej również z kilkukrotnie już wspomnianym grobem. Sample jakich tu użyto w całej rozciągłości albumu aż ociekają śmiercią, gnębią zmysły i ciemiężą słuchacza psychodelią dźwięku. Kończąc już ten krótki tekst dodam, że materiał jest naprawdę wart wydania pieniędzy. Czego jedynie żałuję, że nie mogę się doszukać informacji ani na płycie ani nigdzie w necie o co oryginalne utwory zostały poszerzone. Dla przykładu, drugi utwór trwa 35 minut a to już 15 minut dodatkowej opresji o której chciałbym się co nieco dowiedzieć...

The New Zealand-based project brings together musicians from such renowned hordes as Temple Nightside, Vassafor and Witchrist. With this in mind, no one in their senses will suspect that we may be dealing here with a jumping performance. SINISTROUS DIABOLUS serves total Death / Doom Metal, and the weight of these recordings and the atmosphere of total death are testimony to this. This monster was born to life in 1991 and was dormant in its madness practically until 2010. Until this year only two demo tapes were released and the beast was dragged out of its slumber for good after 2010. However, since 2016 it has again gone down to musty caves and is waiting for the right moment to lean out its terrifying head and sow death among maniacs of such sounds.
The six tracks on this album are divided into two main chapters: Desecration (more lively, with more Death Metal parts) and Doom (almost absurdly crushing the cemetery climate). The music is damn slow, tarry and overwhelming. And of course, there are thousands of such albums, but it doesn't change the fact that in the case of New Zealanders we are dealing with an exceptional ritual. It should also be emphasized - "Total Doom // Desecration" is a very ritualistic material, almost ceremonial. Listening to the following, consecutive parts, I feel as if I am experiencing this ever denser descent, collapse, and a slow monstrosity goes on with no intention of stopping. What is worth remembering is the guitar arrangements. I haven't heard such a burden and at the same time grave sadness, almost melancholy for a long time. The leading guitar, when it appears, introduces a mourning atmosphere and it damn well works. Another fantastic aspect is the parts in which SINISTROUS DIABOLUS moves without any effects and the pure-sounding guitars roll down a totally aura-crushing patents in which the graves are open and the dead are the equivalent of artefacts and symbols of our past. I wouldn't call it an epithet of epicism, but more serious and dignified. Vocalisations reign over the saddened aura and add a lot of rage mixed with the grave aura mentioned several times. Samples used here in the whole length of the album dripping with death, oppressing the senses and tormenting the listener with psychedelic sound. Finishing this short text I will add that the material is really worth the money. What I only regret is that I can't find information neither on the album nor anywhere on the Internet, by which the original songs were extended. For example, the second track lasts 35 minutes and this is already 15 minutes of additional oppression about which I would like to learn a little bit...
