Pochodzący z Massachusetts, Stany Zjednoczone, ORGY OF CARRION to przedstawiciel sceny Raw Black Metal. Od 2014 roku twór ten wydał sporą ilość materiałów, a opisywany album jest drugim z trzech, jakie są obecnie dostępne (maj 2020). Początkowo ORGY OF CARRION działał jako jednoosobowy projekt, ale sytuacja uległa zmianie i od 2017 roku (także na opisywanym albumie), jest to byt dwuosobowy: The Voyeur i Slavehammer, którzy to obaj udzielają się również w Voyeur's Blood. I po tym krótkim wstępie zapraszam do zimnych piwnic wiejących smrodem grobu.
Zdaję sobie sprawę, że taka muzyka nie jest dla wszystkich. Scena Black Metalowa poddana ewolucji obfituje obecnie w masę zespołów, które uderzają klarownością brzmienia przy jednoczesnym wyszukaniu uniesień duchowych aranżacji. ORGY OF CARRION stoi po drugiej stronie barykady, ale nie oznacza to, że jest to twór muzycznie jałowy i pozbawiony doznań dla duszy słuchającego. Nic bardziej mylnego! "Blood Washed Away the Grave Purity" został podzielony na dwie części, brak podziału na utwory, a mamy tu niczym w księdze rozdziały. Każdy z rozdziałów skupia połączone w całość utwory i powiem wam, że zdaje to egzamin w 100%. Mocna stroną tego albumu jest jego brzmienie, pełne nienawiści, wręcz antyludzkie. Stwarza, wraz z aranżacjami utworów, znakomitą aurę nasuwającą skojarzenia z wampiryzmem, mroczą stroną tego przekleństwa. Ciemności jakie wyłaniają się z tych utworów to wręcz projekcja najczarniejszej z możliwych nocy. Praca gitar jak i zarówno perkusji jest nastawiona na prostotę, a ta uwalnia hipnozę, oczarowuje atmosferą horroru. Riffy są powtarzane wielokrotnie, mało w nich urozmaiceń, są nawet mocno podobne do siebie. I uważam to za atut tego albumu. Nie jest to może nic odkrywczego, ponieważ takich produkcji jest od groma i trochę, ale nie zmienia to faktu, że jest to naprawdę konkretny i solidny materiał. Nad wszystkim górują wokale, które dobiegają niczym z zaświatów - skrzeczące, ohydne i pełne mizantropijnego bólu.
ORGY OF CARRION to horda godna uwagi, to Black Metal stojący opozycją do wszystkich cudnie i selektywnie brzmiących materiałów. Brud, piwnica, rozkład grobu i groza śmierci.

Coming from Massachusetts, USA, ORGY OF CARRION is a representative of Raw Black Metal scene. Since 2014 it has released a lot of material, and this album is the second of three that are currently available (May 2020). Initially, ORGY OF CARRION acted as a one-man project, but the situation has changed and since 2017 (also on the described album), it is a two-man entity: The Voyeur and Slavehammer, both of whom are also involved in Voyeur's Blood. And after this short introduction I invite you to the cold cellars blowing the stench of the grave.
I realize that this kind of music is not for everyone. The evolutionary Black Metal scene now abounds in masses of bands that strike with the clarity of sound while finding the spiritual rapture of the arrangement. ORGY OF CARRION stands on the other side of the barricade, but that doesn't mean that it's musically sterile and without experience for the soul of the listener. Nothing could be more wrong! "Blood Washed Away the Grave Purity" has been divided into two parts, no splitting into songs, just like in the book with chapters. Each chapter brings together the tracks and I will tell you that it works out 100%. The strength of this album is its sound, full of hatred, even anti-human. It creates, together with the arrangements of the tracks, an excellent aura that evokes associations with vampirism, the dark side of it. The darkness that emerges from these songs is a projection of the darkest possible night. The work of guitars as well as drums is focused on simplicity, which releases hypnosis and enchants with the atmosphere of horror. Riffs are repeated many times, there is little variety in them, they are strongly similar to each other. And I consider it an asset of this album. Maybe it's nothing revealing, because such productions are plenty and a bit, but it doesn't change the fact that it's really concrete and solid material. Vocals that come from the beyond - screaming, hideous and full of misanthropic pain - dominate everything.
ORGY OF CARRION is a horde worthy of attention, it's Black Metal standing in opposition to all wonderful and selective sounding materials. Dirt, basement, grave decay and the horror of death.
