Czasami nie trzeba szukać nowej muzyki do odsłuchania, czasami to muzyka sama znajdzie nas. Tak właśnie stało się w tym przypadku, bo od muzyka tworzącego projekt NOSTRA DEMENTIA dostałem w promocji album w cyfrowej kopii, co prawda nie jestem fanem takiego formatu, ale mamy takie czasy, że nie da się uniknąć, by i album z plikami nie trafił do naszych kolekcji. Ten jednoosobowy projekt pochodzący z Francji powstał w 2010 roku i oprócz tego albumu, ma na koncie jeszcze demo. Natomiast Yhaill udzielał się wcześniej w dwóch zespołach: PUTRESCENCE oraz DISASTER. Zatem nie przedłużając zapraszam do recenzji.
Spectral Songs from Vehemence to album, na którym upchnięto jedenaście utworów, o łącznym czasie trwania wynoszącym niewiele ponad godzinę. Jednak nie jest to godzina stracona, bo i muzyka potrafi się obronić na wiele sposobów. Z pewnością docenią ten album maniacy oldschoolowego black metalu z domieszką dark ambientu, ale również osoby lubiące atmosferę, post black metal, czy nawet depresyjne odloty. Prędkości są zróżnicowane w tej materii muzycznej jest i szybkie tempo i średnie, ale osobiście bardzo mocno przypadło mi do gustu wolne tempo, które z całym impetem wgryza się w mroczną, pełną pustki atmosferę, przepełnioną chłodem, hipnotyzującymi melodiami i momentami obskurnym skrzekiem. Może na początku podchodziłem do tych dźwięków z jakąś tam rezerwą... Jednak jest zupełnie inaczej, bo muzyka wykreowana przez NOSTRA DEMENTIA jest przepełniona magią. Riffy gitarowe są bardzo zróżnicowane, bo i sam gatunek, jakim jest black metal jest mocno zróżnicowany, charakteryzujący się prostotą, pięknem, ale i progresem i to właśnie takie elementy tu występują. Jest trochę riffów w sekcji tremolo, trochę rytmicznych uderzeń, parę fajnych solówek. Są też gitary na czystym kanale, które miło zachwycają. Gitara basowa jest świetnym uzupełnieniem dla riffów gitar. Tworzy ciepłą głębię i nadaje ciekawej dynamiki. Klawisze są genialnie zaaranżowane. Tworzą wspaniałe melodie, przy których wyobraźnia potrafi zabrać gdzieś daleko. Co do perkusji, to muszę przyznać, że nie spodobało mi się jej brzmienie, bo wyszło tu nieco płasko, jednowymiarowo. Jednak akceptuję to ze względu na całą resztę. Wokale zostały wykorzystane tu jako kolejny instrument. Momentami brzmią tu bardzo gardłowo, skrzecząco, jakby krew wlewała się do płuc. Słychać tu depresyjny skrzek, ale i mocno awangardowy czysty wokal. Muzyka może i nie przedstawia się na tyle agresywnie, by konkurować ze znanymi kapelami, które poruszają podobne dźwięki, ale jebać to... ten krążek jest godny uwagi, więc polecam zapoznać się z nim.

Sometimes it's not necessary to look for new music to listen to, sometimes it's the music itself that finds us. This is exactly what happened in this case, because the musician creating the NOSTRA DEMENTIA project gave me the album in a digital copy as a promotion. This one-man project from France was formed in 2010 and apart from this album, has also recorded a demo. Yhaill, on the other hand, previously contributed to two bands: PUTRESCENCE and DISASTER. So, without prolonging I invite you to the review.
Spectral Songs from Vehemence is an album on which eleven tracks have been crammed, with the total running time amounting to just over an hour. However, it is not a wasted hour, because the music can defend itself in many ways. This album will surely be appreciated by oldschool black metal maniacs with a touch of dark ambient, but also by those who like atmosphere, post black metal or even depressive departures. The speeds are varied in this matter of music, there is a fast tempo and a medium one, but personally I liked very much the slow tempo, which bites into the dark, full of emptiness atmosphere, filled with coldness, hypnotic melodies and at times abominable screams. Maybe at the beginning I approached these sounds with some reserve... However, it's completely different, because the music created by NOSTRA DEMENTIA is full of magic. The guitar riffs are very diverse, because the black metal genre itself is very diverse, characterized by simplicity, beauty but also progressiveness, and these are the elements that appear here. There are some riffs in the tremolo section, some rhythmic beats, some cool solos. There are also some guitars on the clean channel that delight nicely. The bass guitar is a great complement to the guitar riffs. It creates a warm depth and adds an interesting dynamic. The keys are brilliantly arranged. They create wonderful melodies with which your imagination can take you somewhere far away. As for the drums, I have to admit that I didn't like their sound, because it came out a bit flat, one-dimensional. However, I accept it for the sake of the rest. Vocals were used here as another instrument. Sometimes they sound very throaty, screechy, like blood rushing into the lungs. You can hear a depressive screeches here, but also strongly avant-garde clean vocals. The music may not present itself aggressively enough to compete with well-known bands that move similar sounds, but fuck it... this CD is worthy of attention, so I recommend getting acquainted with it.
