Nareszcie nadszedł czas, na chwilę oderwania się od codziennych obowiązków, a w moje ręce prosto z regału trafiła płyta czeskich black metalowców - SILVA NIGRA. Chociaż nazwa zespołu przez bardzo długi czas pozostawała mi obca, to w jej skład wchodzą muzycy, udzielający się niegdyś w dobrze mi znanym od lat zespole INFERNO. Kapela pierwsze kroki na scenie postawiła w 1996 roku, a dyskografia obejmuje trzynaście wydawnictw, w tym siedem albumów, a Světlonoš jest ostatnim póki co ostatnim wydawnictwem. Wydawnictwo to ukazało się dzięki Seven Gates of Hell / Hellshop.eu, a tej nazwy przynajmniej polskim maniakom metalu przedstawiać nie trzeba.
Světlonoš to album wypluty w 2016 roku, zatem niby żadna nowość ale dla mnie interesujące odkrycie, bo swoim brzmieniem ta horda wciąż tkwi w głębokich latach dziewięćdziesiątych. I bardzo dobrze. Prosty black metal to patent, który prawie zawsze się sprawdza - o ile to muzyka zawładnie artystą, a nie na odwrót. W przypadku SILVA NIGRA nie mam wątpliwości, co do tego, że kreują prawdziwą czarną sztukę. Na krążku znalazło się siedem utworów, których łączny czas trwania wynosi grubo ponad czterdzieści jeden minut. Cały materiał brzmi jakby został wyrwany prosto z piekielnych czeluści. Chociaż mamy tu zróżnicowane tempa, gdzie przeważają średnie i wolne, to zło wylewa się gęsto z głośników, a jego miarą są potężne decybele przyprawiające o ból uszu. Jednakże jest to ból, do którego chce się wracać. Zapach siarki i spalenizny wpisują się mocno w skojarzenia z materią muzyczną stworzoną na tym materiale. A instrumenty same w sobie po prostu wgniatają w ziemię i miażdżą wszystkie kości. Od gitar dostajemy tu sporą dawkę riffów utrzymanych w sekcji tremolo, ale też pojawia się bicie rytmiczne w wolniejszych numerach. Jest trochę partii solowych, które rozwijają całkiem przyjemny klimat, melodyjny ale i pełny mroku. Bas ciągnie się nisko, niekiedy sprawiając że trochę dudni, ale mi to jakoś szczególnie nie przeszkadza. Perkusja świetnie odnajduje się w szybkich tempach. Również w wolniejszych partiach jest zajebiście, a bębny nagrane są bardzo wyraźnie i nic się tu nie rozjeżdża. Świetne przejścia. Prawdziwy skok w przeszłość, do lat dziewięćdziesiątych. Dobrze, że jeszcze są ludzie, którzy nie odstąpili od tej stylistyki. Wokal to już typowy skrzek, charakterystyczny dla gatunku. Nie brakuje w nim jadu, nienawiści i pierwotnej agresji. Zastanawia mnie ta dość długa przerwa, bo pięć lat wydawniczej ciszy to jednak jest kawał czasu, chociaż wiem, że black metal rządzi się innymi prawami i niekiedy na nowe wydawnictwa trzeba czekać jeszcze dłużej, to dobrze byłoby doczekać się nowego materiału SILVA NIGRA.

Finally, the time has come for a break from everyday duties, and into my hands straight from the bookshelf came the album of Czech black metallers - SILVA NIGRA. Although the name of the band for a very long time remained strange to me, it consists of musicians who once played in a well-known to me for years band INFERNO. The band took its first steps on the stage in 1996, and the discography includes thirteen releases, including seven albums, and Světlonoš is the latest one. It was released thanks to Seven Gates of Hell and this name, at least for Polish metal maniacs, needs no introduction.
Světlonoš is an album spit out in 2016, so seemingly no novelty but for me an interesting discovery, because with its sound this horde is still stuck in the deep nineties. And very well. Simple black metal is a patent that almost always works - as long as the music takes over the artist, and not the other way around. In the case of SILVA NIGRA, I have no doubt that they create true black art. There are seven tracks on the album, the total running time of which is well over forty-one minutes. The whole material sounds as if it was plucked straight from the depths of hell. Although we have here differentiated tempos, where medium and slow ones prevail, evil pours out thickly from the speakers, and its measure is the powerful decibels that make your ears ache. However, it is a pain you want to come back to. The smell of sulfur and burning are strongly associated with the musical matter created on this material. And the instruments themselves simply crush the ground and crush all the bones. From guitars we get here a lot of riffs kept in tremolo section, but also rhythmic beats appear in slower numbers. There are some solo parts, which develop quite nice atmosphere, melodic but also full of darkness. The bass goes low, sometimes making it rumble a bit, but I don't find it particularly disturbing. The drums find their way very well in fast tempos. Also in the slower parts it is awesome, the drums are recorded very clearly and nothing is distracting. Great transitions. A real jump into the past, into the nineties. It is good that there are still people who have not abandoned this style. The vocal is a typical skitter, characteristic of the genre. It does not lack venom, hatred and primal aggression. I'm puzzled by this rather long break, because five years of publishing silence is quite a long time, although I know that black metal is governed by different laws and sometimes you have to wait even longer for new releases, it would be good to wait for new material from SILVA NIGRA.
