Czas na weteranów z Węgier, którzy to istnieją na scenie od 1996 roku i do dziś są wierni korzeniom Black Metalu starej szkoły. Album ten ukazał się również w formacie CD i winylu, ale tak surowe granie idealnie sprawdza się na nośniku kasety magnetofonowej. Chociaż wiadomo, że winylem człowiek by nie pogardził, hehe.
Black Metal grany przez Węgrów czerpie garściami z drugiej fali BM, a konkretnie skandynawskiej odmiany, ale to nie wszystko. Horda nie stroni też od stylistyki Thrashu, którą to idealnie inkorporuje we fragmenty swoich kompozycji. Jednak ponad 90% trwania materiału mamy do czynienia z surowizną, pierwotną ohydą sączącą się z głośników i w swej czarnej hipnozie przenoszącą nas w czasie do początków sceny. Zacznę od brzmienia, które najzwyczajniej urzeka swą głębią ciemności, prymitywności, ale i zarazem czytelności poszczególnych instrumentów. Owa czytelność dźwięku nie jest dominująca, bardziej bym określił to jako smaczek czy może nawet jeden z elementów brzmienia. Takie fundamenty jak szorstkość, chropowatość i brud gitar zostały zachowane, a struktury riffów podżynają gardła zardzewiałymi ostrzami sprawiając jeszcze większy ból. Co dziwne, pomimo takich odczuć / skojarzeń, utwory w swej budowie i klimacie nawiązują bardzo silnie do Natury, pogaństwa. Dynamiczne tempa, które przechodzą też w rytmiczne pasaże, powodują, że albumu słucha się jednym tchem. Ponad surowizną gitar i prostych partii perkusji góruje skrzeczący, chropowaty wokal. Materiał wciąga i wabi swą nieoryginalnością, która jest olbrzymim atutem trzeciego albumu WITCHCRAFT. 'Hegyek felettem' jest chłodem nocy, wyjącym wichrem w pobliżu górskich sztolni, skrzypiącym śniegiem pod podeszwą buta w najdalszych, odludnych częściach lasów. Istna czerń Black Metalu.

Time for the veterans from Hungary, who have been on the scene since 1996 and are still faithful to the roots of old school Black Metal. This horde, probably known in a few circles of people who love cold and primitive playing, is appreciated for what it has released in its discography. As for 25 years of existence, there is not that much of it, but absolutely every item bearing the WITCHCRAFT logo is a work you simply must have. Of course, this is a must for Black Metal maniacs in its purest form, without modern embellishments which distanced this genre from what it was really meant to be when it was created. This album was also released in CD and vinyl format, but such raw playing works perfectly on cassette. Although it is known that the vinyl would not be disdained by a man, hehe.
Black Metal played by Hungarians draws handfuls of inspiration from the second wave of BM, specifically the Scandinavian variety, but that's not all. Horde doesn't shy away from Thrash stylistics, which is perfectly incorporated into the fragments of their compositions. However, over 90% of the duration of the material we are dealing with raw, primordial abomination oozing from the speakers and in its black hypnosis transporting us back in time to the beginnings of the scene. Let me start with the sound, which is simply enchanting with its depth of darkness, primitiveness but also legibility of particular instruments. This legibility of sound is not dominant, I would describe it more as a flavor, or maybe even one of the elements of the sound. Such fundamentals as roughness, harshness and dirtiness of the guitars are preserved, while the riff structures slit throats with rusty blades causing even more pain. Strangely enough, despite such feelings/associations, the songs in their structure and atmosphere refer very strongly to Nature, paganism. Dynamic tempos, which also pass into rhythmic passages, make the album a one-breath listen. Above the rawness of the guitars and simple drum parts dominates screeching, harsh vocals. The material attracts and lures with its unoriginality, which is a huge asset of the third album of WITCHCRAFT. Hegyek felettem' is the cold of the night, the howling of the wind near the mountain drifts, the crunching of the snow under the sole of the shoe in the most remote, desolate parts of the forests. A substantial blackness of Black Metal.
